The Volvo 240 was presented to the world during the fall of 1974. This car quickly became a great success and totally Volvo made no less than 2.8 million 240´s. Due to its great cargo space, the 245 wagon became very popular among families. The Volvo 260 is the more luxurious version, which for example was equipped with the V6 engine. The 260 was produced between 1974 -1985, meanwhile, they kept making the 240 until 1993. It was such a big deal when they made the very last one that the event was broadcast on national TV.
